Hello,
I'm Serge Bonge, born in Köln (Cologne - Germany) on 14th July 1965. I live in the city of Leuven (Louvain), about 12 miles east of Brussels, Belgium. The City is known for its famous beer Stella (InBev) and its Catholic University. I'm married to Patsy and we have 3 children, two girls and one boy.
Aviation has always been a family matter. My grandfather had a flying licence and my father, who was in the Belgian Army (an eye deficiency ended his dream to become a chopper pilot) flew several times with the 15th Wing (Co-operation flights to Central Africa). As a little boy I decided to become a fighter pilot but an ear deficiency made an end to this dream. So aviation became a hobby. I work as a Project Coordinator for a German-American manufacturer. Besides flying to holliday destinations with civil airlines, I had the chance to fly several times with the 15th Wing (C-130H and HS-748). Every year I try to visit some Airshows and/or museums in and outside of Belgium.
My favourite aviation subjects are: 350 (Belgian) Squadron, Belgian Pilots and their Squadrons during World War 2 and the Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon.
